Adobe describes Shared Device Licensing as a model for labs and shared-device environments. The licence is associated with the machine rather than a dedicated individual user. Named-user licensing is more suitable where an identified staff member or student needs access across their normal working devices. For primary and post-primary school deployments, Adobe also applies identity requirements to institution-managed licensing. SAMI will confirm the current identity and deployment requirements as part of the quotation rather than assuming that a consumer Adobe account is appropriate.

VIP Marketplace is Adobe's institutional subscription purchasing programme and can support defined named-user or device requirements. ETLA is designed for larger institution-wide deployments and is structured as a multi-year enterprise agreement. Can an Irish school license Adobe for a computer lab?
Adobe supports Shared Device Licensing for shared environments such as classrooms and labs. Availability and the applicable school purchasing option must still be confirmed for the institution and product mix.
What is Shared Device Licensing?
Shared Device Licensing associates the Adobe licence with the computer rather than with one dedicated person. It is intended for machines used by multiple authorised users, such as computers in a classroom or lab.
Is a student Adobe plan the same as school licensing?
No. An individual student or teacher offer is separate from institution-managed licensing. Schools requiring centrally administered licences should use the appropriate institutional education route.
